You did not submit because it was ok for you. I know people who got RFE asking for employment proof.
It might be case that their case numbers were associated with firms who were sponsored initially by 'desi' consulting. Hence more rigorous checks for them. I didn't submit employment letter. I wasn't even ASKED for one. None of the questions in form asked for employer name. None of the mail-in items included employer letter either.

legal ethnic cleansing of Indians and Chinese and other H-1B visa holders.

This is what I felt. When folks from CA could turn out in such a big number, what stopped DC Metro area and NYC/NJ Area folks to come? Perhaps they do not deserve Capital so close to them. What else it is for? To take their friends and relatives there for photo taking? This is what I felt.
Over all, one of the most fulfilling three days of my life. I learnt what is law making in this country and how things work.

I think you are absolutely right. The only chance that legals have is through a CIR. I have been watching the trends for the last 3 years and everytime anyone wants to put anything for legals, it is shot down. It is not that house and senate can;t do it but it will be a political suicide. It really doesn't matter - you are democrat or republican. All Americans are afraid to lose jobs. They are concerned about immigrants taking away jobs. In my opinion, things will continue like this at least for next couple of years or so.

if you read previous discussion and particulary logiclife post, you will find, any immigration reform bill will not be discussed let alone passed until it resolves illegal immigration issue

IV is for legals who are already here legally and our demands are very simple, such as if they allow use to file I485 with being current and if they use unused visa numbers and allocate them to over subscribed countries our life will be lot better,
we need to rethink our stratergy and stop knocking these law makers, who cares only about illegals, either they are against them or far them, but they just don't really care about legals

IV core should have two focus: long term plan and a short term plan.
Long term plan is anything that involves visa increase.
Short term plan is anything that does not involve visa increase, but that provides some kind of releif to us. A no-nonsense, non-controversial and simple measure that can be added to an appropriation bill is a best example.
I hope the core is reading this post...
If you have an idea, and possibly a suggestion on how to implement it, post it. Even an old idea with innovative implementation may help us.
However, please do not wait on contribution thinking until something happens I don�t have to contribute. IV core is already working on many issues, and your monthly contribution would help stabilize resource needs for current items.

Great to hear that the event was a success. I was one of the volunteers who had the oppurtunity to call CA members and I just have one suggestion. Please update your profiles with your latest email and phone numbers. Of the 25 people I called, atleast 5 or 6 had incorrect phone numbers. One even went to a fax number. The intent for IV is to reach you quickly in such case but looks like the intent for such members is 'do-not-disturb'.
I had the same problem with phone numbers. About 8 numbers turned out to be incorrect. Update your profile, please. And if you do not want to be contacted by phone, please leave the phone # box in the profile blank.

I get this question every day, what are the hopes for EB3-I, or rather are there any hopes for EB3-I? Are we fighting a lost battle?
What do people here really think?
1. There are X % chance that there would be some immigration bill that would help us and we will have GC in next couple of years?
2. Keep going on with life as is, till the time we can renew EAD every 2 years, and AP every year.
3. Wait for another X years, and then go back.
4. Hopefully my son/daughter will be 21 by 2020, and will sponsor my GC.

Hatz off to that lady... Lot of us are still thinking to fill law-suit against USCIS/DOS.... We should act fast now and file law-suit rather than just waiting and discussing here. I felt bad some people even asked when will be outcome of that law-suit....That clearly tells you are going to wait till the out come of it and you will file law-suit....

All EB3 Is are coming forward. Thats a good thing.
But do we have:
- A leader to lead this effort
- Agenda to follow
- Specific Goals
- Action Items
- Immediate Goals
Without these we are not going anywhere. But just wasting our time on top of our already surmounting frustration.
I have answered in a funny way
But do we have:

- Agenda to follow : Everyone has one. But the single common agenda is to blame IV for EB3 dates not moving forward.
- Specific Goals : Everyone has one
- Action Items : EB3 should get all spillover and EB2 should not get it
- Immediate Goals: EB3 should get all spillover and EB2 should not get it
I see nobody serious but everyone wants some one else to help.
Here is my big idea. We should ask Bill Gates and Sonia Gandhi to help us. Instead of working on spillover for 500 visas, how about get these people to help us. They can help change INA with their contacts.

I'd like to point out that Obama is the President-elect. He doesn't become the president until Jan 20 when he takes the oath. Right now the situation is exactly like it was before the election.
Dont forget that we may have Lameduck session soon.. May be 16th.. and it will be very short .. becasue of thanksgiving and holiday seasons coming ahead.
