Hi Guys,
My attorney sent the response last week and it was delivered to the Dallas, TX. I am little concerned that my attorney actually sent the response to a courier address rather than the PO Box for TSC that they ask you to send. So far I have not seen any updates on my case.
Vgayalu: After how many days did you see an update after you sent the response to the RFE.
Ask your attorney to call USCIS for confirmation. Did he add return receipt also? It should not be any issue once you get the confirmation. Good Luck!

My wife came to US on L1. She got her H1 approved for this year and she resigned her L1 job. Now should we apply for H4 (dependent) since we have a few more months to go till her H1 kicks in or can she apply for an adjustment of status?

As much as I hated it, being EB3 ROW with Jul05 pd, I feel it is good that they didn't randomly move the pd forward like last year then give gc to some random 2006, 2007 cases while there are plenty of 2004 and 2005 ROW people still waiting

This is true that EB3 people are going to stay for longer period( no one knows how long).
I am not sure that how much would be fruitful to port from EB3->EB2. Everone knows that it is not easy.
IV team should think and decide the next course of action for EB3.
I am with them what ever they decide. I am ready to give any kind of support.

This year most of the students at GATech have come only to study and get back to India, their homeland. So the participation might be grim due to the same. Even I have decided to return once done with my studies. Guess serving the motherland has been more important to us than earning the $$, since we know that only with efforts of an individual a country can progress.

We love the U.S. We won't allow bad immigration policy to continue to hurt our country with a self-inflicted Reverse Brain Drain. Already 100,000 of us highly-skilled immigrants have left in frustration! We won't allow this to continue!!! We are going to stop this madness, AND IT ALL STARTS IN WASHINGTON ON THE 18th!!!! I called the 800# today bec the TSC IO told me to check back after45 days and now I was told to wait for 90 days bec of the JulyAug backlog. After I conversed with the IO I told them what if the application is lost , should i be refiling my 485 , since the deadline is Aug17, so she transfered me to her super wiser and he looked for my name in the system and told me there is no update so far and he is placing an inquiry and that will take another 30 days and there is nothing else he can do in regards... And the wait of 30 or 90 days is way passed the Aug17th deadline.
I think USCIS should honor resubmitted application passed Aug17th deadline if we have to refile our I485 due to lost mail based on Tracking conformation from FEDEX which have the Signature conformation of IO when they received the mail?
There isn't lot of time left if I have to refile my 485 application , I have to call my lawyer to get the paperwork ready, Employer for the job letter and not to mention the Doctor for the medical ,I don't even know if he will issue a duplicate I693 or i have to get all the test redone ?

The univ is accredited by DTE but not sure about its market value.
I am thinking about low cost MBA and the options (apart from newly discovered super low cost Aspen) are --
University of South Dakota (USD) (18 K)
&
University of Massachusetts (UMass) (30 K)

The donor backlash prompted the committee to fire all 65 of its telephone solicitors, RNC sources said. The GOP base is up in arms over Bush's plan to create a method for nearly 12 million illegal immigrants to gain legal status - a process critics consider amnesty. An RNS spokesperson said the firings were due to problems with the phone bank equipment and not from any drop-off in donations."

For my part, I send an email everyday to the white house and the state dept. This is probably not enough.....but may be some day it will work.

Ok, I understand, no use bringing it up again, sorry, let me go back and read other interesting threads on "investments" and "buying houses"...
The issue is like a BIG bus where we all are together travelling to the same destination. And the bus is stuck in a pit. You and I can push, .. will it help?. What else do you do. You make others also come and push. So, how many people were you able to convince to do what you did.. Dont just convince them, make them also spread the message.
If you want content to be passed, there are many threads here. One is mine, which is "chain reaction..). Its now buried somewhere :(.
I know some people do realize things only when they loose their jobs or when its too late. If realization happens only that way, I wish all of you those not participating actively loose their jobs and hence comes realization that will help you and us all. Hope that happens very fast..
